Ingredients
- 1 lb. bulk pork sausage, ground beef or turkey
- 1 c. peeled fine-chopped apple
- ½ c. finely chopped onion
- ½ c. dry bread crumbs
- 1 egg yolk
- ¼ tsp. fresh ground pepper
- ½ tsp. dried sage
- ¼ tsp. Tabasco sauce
- 2 med. acorn squash
Instructions
- Mix ingredients well.
- Split acorn squash in half and remove seeds and stringy fibers.
- Mound stuffing mixture in squash halves and put in baking dish. Cover with boil. Bake 60 minutes at 350 degrees.
